It has been my great pleasure and honor over the past few years to have taught hundreds of patients and students these simple skills for improving the quality of life, for sleeping better and handling stress better, for reducing body pain, for lessening vulnerability from daily activities, and for achieving deeper levels of relaxation and recuperation.  Many have asked for something that will allow them to practice at home, or to share with others who are unable to attend classes personally.

I am pleased to announce that my 65 minute DVD, "The Resting Postures: Reducing Pain and Healing Yourself," is now available.  Information for ordering the DVD is here.

This DVD fully explains the need for this training and the process of learning how to practice at home.  The resting postures are fully modeled, with attention paid to the importance of proper alignment at rest.  The sequence of postures is shown and a class with my voice-over and meditative music is provided.  You can practice along with the class at home, confident that you are doing everything correctly.  The healing breath is fully explained, allowing you to change how you feel in the moment.  The resting breath is also explained, allowing you to deeply rest and recuperate the cardiovascular system while each cell in the body is more fully supplied with oxygen.  An alert but detached mental attitude is discussed, allowing you to increasingly observe your inner life, the path to enhanced self-healing.

Every attempt has been made to summarize these important health skills in a manner that is clear and accurate.  Many people who have never practiced yoga before in their lives have gained the benefits previously only available to a few.  By learning these simple skills, each person can begin to work with their bodies in order to improve their well-being, at their own speed, in the comfort of their own homes.
